Posted by Philothea` @ Wednesday, February 11, 2009 | Last week was packed with so much stuff (some were really dreadful!) that it almost drove the sanity out of me.
Anyway, here's a photo I reaped off yuniza's blog. That's phuong, my cute Vietnamese classmate and me. Haha. The second part of today's drawing class was kinda ruined by a horrible Chinese model. We keep getting such unprofessional models! I got so annoyed that I almost intended to shoot charcoal right at her every time she moves without any consideration for us. I don't mean to sound evil. But it's tough drawing with lousy models cos it's bad enough that I don't draw well. Therefore, I appeal to anyone who's interested to POSE NUDE FOR ADM DRAWING CLASSES. I think the rates are $30/h. Don't be shy, it's for art sake. You don't need a perfect body. Hoho. In fact, it's more enjoyable to draw fat people (no offence!) cos of the curves etc. Help spread the word and let me know if anyone is keen, yea? (:

“God's Darkroom”In the development of photographs, the film must first be taken into a darkroom. Only after the chemicals have done their work in the dark is it safe to expose the negatives to light and produce the final prints. The light, which would have destroyed the film, now brings out its beauty.
God takes us through "darkroom" experiences to develop our spiritual life. As we pass through trial, sorrow, frustration, and disappointment, the image of Christ is produced in us. Then we are ready to be displayed in the light.
Too often we blame people or circumstances for our dark tunnels of despair and frustration. Although they may be the secondary causes, we need to realize that the hand of the heavenly Father momentarily shades the light from our pathway. He graciously takes us through such experiences because He wants to provide us with the benefits of darkness.
Are you in God's darkroom? Then don't despair. The Lord is developing the beauty of Christlikeness within you for display in His art gallery of eternity! Do not seek to get back into the light too soon. Await His perfect timing, or you will spoil the imprint of His love on the film of your life.

It has been 6 months since it was held, why send only now? Anyway, the photo is =.= I wasn't looking at the camera and I can't remember why. Hoho.
Ewwww. I dislike formal wear.
Anyway for those of you who're interested to take good advantage of the government's $, go for it! Hehe. Read on below:

Dear Industry partners, students and aspiring media talents,
The MDA (Media Development Authority) Media Education Scheme 2009 is open for applications as of 24 January 2009.
About the Media Education Scheme
The Media Education Scheme is an initiative to build and nurture manpower capabilities as well as the talent pool in the media industry. All Singapore citizens and permanent residents who are passionate about embarking on a long-term career in the local media industry are welcome to apply for the Scheme.
Media Education Scheme (Overseas)
The Scheme covers tuition fees of up to S$40,000 per year, or subject to a maximum of S$100,000. The scheme has a two-year service commitment to Singapore. Upon returning from their studies, recipients will have to fulfil the service commitment and are required to work in media-related companies. As international exposure and experience is desirable and encouraged, students need not start their service commitment immediately upon graduation, but can choose to do so over a five-year period.
Media Education Scheme (Local)
The Scheme covers tuition fees of up to S$10,000 per year, subject to a maximum of S$20,000.
There will be no service commitment attached to the scheme.
